In 2023, during the landmark period of Chandrayaan-3, students of Excellent PU Science College, Vijayapura were given a remarkable opportunity to participate in an interactive session with a senior ISRO scientist. This educational event was part of the college’s ongoing mission to connect students with real-world scientific milestones and inspire curiosity in space science and research.
The session offered a comprehensive overview of Chandrayaan-3, covering India’s lunar mission in detail. The scientist explained core scientific principles, engineering breakthroughs, and the challenges involved in India’s journey to the Moon. From trajectory planning and propulsion systems to rover technology and lunar surface mapping, students were given a rare, behind the scenes perspective on how such complex space missions are conceptualized and executed.
